SPEC modified its Learjet Research Aircraft in 1998 (click on figure to the left for larger image). Since that time the company has collaborated with US Government agencies in the engineering required for modification of research aircraft, such as installation of SPEC probes on the NASA DC-8, WB-57F and the Scaled Composites Proteus operated by the Department of Energy.
