A Super King Air 350 has been modified for atmospheric research for the Chinese Beijing Weather Modification Office

In 2013 SPEC modified a King Air 350 for the Beijing Weather Modification Office (BJWMO).  The modifications included installation of extensive aerosol and gas chemistry measurement instrumentation.  The photos below show the BJWMO King Air and solid models showing the interior and exterior equipment installations.  SPEC  modified a King Air 350 for the Hebei Weather Modification Office (HWMO) in 2014 and another King Air 350 for the Chinese Meteorological Administration (CMA) in 2018. Modifications to the CMA King Air included installation of a wing-mounted Ka-Band radar and isokinetic and counterflow aerosol inlets.
